Can I have my cell phone? I use social media to keep in touch with my friends/family.

You can access social media and use your phone at any age if your social worker gives you permission. Nevertheless, when you arrive, we can talk about some restrictions.

Can my friends and family visit me?

Your social worker will advise you on how much you can see your family and friends if you are allowed.

Why am I moving so far away from my friends / family?

Your social worker will advise you why you have to live so far away from you family and friends.

Can I still have my friends stay over at my house like I used to?

Once more, this could proceed if your social worker agrees  that we should meet the parents of your friends to ensure your safety.

Can I smoke in the placement as my dad has allowed me to do so since I turned 16?

Smoking is not permitted; and, we encourage you to stop and will support you on this journey.

How will you help me maintain my vegan diet and way of life, which I intend to do?

We will gladly assist you in maintaining your vegan lifestyle, and we even invite you to go shopping with us and assist with meal preparation. By doing so, you will be able to let us know how important this is to you

What Kind of Support Will I Receive?.

You’ll receive personalized support based on your needs. This can include help with finding employment, managing finances, learning life skills (like cooking and cleaning), mental health support, and more.

How Long Can I Stay in Supported Housing?

The duration of stay can vary depending on your individual needs and progress. Typically, young people can stay until they are ready to transition to more independent living arrangements. Our team will work with you to develop a plan for your future.

What If I Have a Problem or Concern?

If you have any issues, concerns, or complaints, you can always speak to a member of the support staff. We’re here to listen and help resolve any problems you may have. There’s also a formal process in place if you need to raise a concern more officially.
